When Pro-Mold began in 1978, our
core product was die cast tooling, and we manufactured
single and multi cavity dies for automotive fuel systems and
consumer products such as chain saw housings, to name a few.
These were made to cast zinc and aluminum.
Today we maintain the expertise to design and build die cast
dies for zinc, aluminum and magnesium. Pro-Mold has
manufactured tools to close tolerances to produce “no trim”
parts and tools that utilize vacuum assist.
Pro-Mold designs and manufactures die cast dies for prototypes and production dies. We also produce trim dies, de-gating dies, and fixturing.

The video shows an eight-cavity magnesium jam nut unscrewing die. The part is manufactured to net shape without any secondary operations. It is a 17-second, shot-to-shot cycle time. The die was designed and manufactured by Pro-Mold, Inc.
